This is a big file and could take some time to download. I suggest you don't download to your phone unless you are aware of the limitations.
Rainbow in the Southern Mallee Australia – Wanted B&W photographs of old historical street scenes.
What should I do with my old photos?
Without a doubt, the best thing you can do if you think they are of reasonable quality and of historical significance, is to get them to the "Rainbow Archives". The dedicated hard working team there will welcome any new finds. They have been gathering up information for years, and will continue to do so for many generations into the future.
I do my own research in my own way, which is basically the information I can gather up from FaceBook groups, and individuals.
Peter Ralph writes the - ARCHIVINGS - column in the Rainbow-Jeparit Argus. He has his special way of telling these stories in a much more professional manner, plus he has the wealth of information of the RAHS behind him.

Dear Cheryl and Don,
Thank you for your email regarding the issues you raised in connection with your use of district historical materials which might overlap with items held in our collection.
You will be aware that as members of the Rainbow Archive and Historical Society we have both rights and responsibilities as custodians of the items with which we are entrusted.
Members discussed your letter at a recent meeting, and in response make the following points for your information:
1. There is no concern at your use of Robertson’s 1910 publication, as it has been in the public domain as a reprint for many years now. We do carry stocks of that reprint, and as with our other publications (including reprints) to some degree we do rely on modest sales to help sustain our ongoing operational costs.
Don:
I only have two choices, but as was suggested by the RAHS, my site seems to be helping in raising the level of interest in the history of the town.
If I placed a download link for the "ROT" publication, what if I was to also put in place at this same point, a complete rundown on the Publications offered by the RAHS, as well as pricing and method of obtaining same. I could high-lite the fact that reading these publications can at times be a much more enjoyable experience than reading a PDF file. I would of course need a short text file from RAHS to guide me with this.
I have basically two copies of everything, as I inherited my father's copies. 🙂 My "ROT" copy lost the staples when I scanned it, and dad's copy is not far from my keyboard. For me, such a treasured item.
Note:
I will place a text file here for:

I asked for this information in August 2021. Never got it. Another no response.

The glammed-up girls in their very, very best outfits. Spot the racehorse in the stables to the right of the picture? With those hats and dress lengths, it has to be from the 1920s to the 1930s.
